Drytex material is suitable for use in water. If it is submerged in salt water or chlorinated water, it should be rinsed off afterward with fresh water and allowed to air dry.

The DonJoy Deluxe Hinged Knee Support requires 3 circumferencial measurments. This can be done with a cloth measuring tape or a string and a tape measure.
- Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart, legs slightly bent and leg muscles contracted. (fig 1)
- Measure up six inches from the center of your knee with a tape measure, as shown. (fig 2)
- Measure the circumference of your thigh at the 6-inch mark, as shown. (fig 3)
- Measure down six inches from the center of your knee with a tape measure, as shown. Then measure the circumference of your calf at the 6-inch mark. (fig 4)
