The mediven angio Knee High Compression Stockings are specially designed for the treatment of chronic venous disease in patients who also have mild to moderate peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and/or diabetes mellitus. Combining effective medical compression with specialized protective features for the foot and lower leg, mediven angio addresses the unique requirements of patients who may experience arterial concerns or sensory disorders, particularly around the feet and toes.
Unlike conventional medical compression stockings, mediven angio incorporates soft Merino-plush padding throughout the entire foot, extending from the toes to above the ankle. This cushioning is designed to reduce pressure peaks and help protect sensitive areas and bony prominences, including the ankles and metatarsal heads. This added protection is particularly beneficial for patients who may have reduced sensation in the feet, such as those with diabetic peripheral polyneuropathy.
A specially designed extra-long, flat toe seam follows the anatomical shape of the toes to provide optimal pressure relief around the toes and their base joints. Two available foot lengths further improve fit and provide additional toe relief, helping accommodate individual foot proportions more comfortably.
The stocking features a solid ribbed structure with high longitudinal stretch to make donning and doffing easier. Micro-plush construction extends throughout the lower leg from the toes to the cuff, helping provide a high level of wearing comfort during daily use.
An extra-wide cuff provides secure hold while distributing pressure across a larger surface area to help avoid constriction. A 90-degree heel promotes even distribution of the knitted fabric around the heel and instep, contributing to a more comfortable and anatomically appropriate fit.

Contraindications:
- Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease (if one of these parameters is present: ABPI < 0.5, ankle arterial pressure < 60 mmHg, toe pressure < 30 mmHg or TcPO2 < 20 mmHg on dorsum of foot)
- Decompensated heart failure (NYHA III + IV)
- Septic phlebitis
- Phlegmasia cerulea dolens
